God of the Gap // Part 1
In the Tomb
(Luke 23:48-49) And all the crowds that had assembled for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, returned home beating their breasts. 49And all his acquaintances and the women who had followed him from Galilee stood at a distance watching
these things.
(Luke 24:1-12)
- Frequently, in times of transition and confusion we may lose hope and forget the promises of God.
- (Luke 24:6-12)
- Often defeat is what the enemy and the world wants us to accept however God uses what looks like “defeat” to bring the victory!!
- (Mark 16:9-11)
- When our mind is focused on defeat and disappointment it's hard to believe good news.
- (Luke 24:9-12)
- In times of disappointment, hope, truth and good news can sound like nonsense.
God is working in your waiting......
- God uses waiting to change us. When we push God to the side it creates distance in our relationship with Him, causes trouble, and brings pain.
- We have a choice to either relax, let God be God, and continue to hope in His greatness or take matters into our own hands.
- Much of our anxiety in waiting is because we forget that” God is able to make all grace abound to you”. (2 Corinth. 9:8)
- Believing that God is loving means there is care and purpose behind all he does. (Phil. 4:19)
