Boaz Meets Ruth
Character of Boaz/Ruth
- Boaz is a picture of Christ, Boaz’s grace points to Jesus’ grace.
- Boaz is a man of material wealth and moral wealth.
- Ruth is loyal, humble and hardworking. (Prov. 31)
Ruth 2:3
- It’s no coincidence, it’s God’s providence!
- (Prov.16:9,33) The Lord controls even the roll of dice.
- (Matt. 10:29) Not even the sparrow drops without the Father's knowledge.
- God’s quiet hand is always at work in the everyday mundane workings of life.
Ruth 2:4
- God’s timing is perfect.
Ruth 2:5-7
- Faith in God doesn't mean sitting around waiting for Him to act.
Ruth 2:8-9
- Boaz goes against the culture and provides and protects Ruth.
Ruth 2:10
- When humility and grace come together worship happens.
Ruth 2:11-14
- We should not live for the approval or praise of others but solely for the glory of the Lord!
- God is not only a rewarder but he is also a refuge!
- It's not just hope but faith, humility and action together that brings the blessing from God.

How did Boaz exemplify Micah 6:8 ?
- Boaz provided food for the hungry.
- Boaz not only provided for Ruth but he also protected her.
- Boaz uses his words to bless Ruth.
- Boaz showed Ruth kindness and grace but also to his workers.
- Boaz walked humbly with the Lord.
