Stranger Things // Part 4
For the Joy Set Before Us / Supernatural Power of the Resurrection
- Jesus endured the greatest suffering, with the greatest love, for the least deserving
- (Hebrews 12:2) looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Jesus' joy that held him on the cross was so that our joy may be full in Him.
- (John 15:11) These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
- For the joy that is set before us in the resurrection, we will endure the cost of love no matter how high for the least deserving.
- When we complain and grumble we are not living out the power of the resurrection.
- The sustaining power of Paul's song of suffering and love for the jailer was the resurrection of Christ and the resurrection of those in Christ.
- Our purpose in life is to walk in the power of the resurrection for the joy set before
- (Romans 8:18) I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us
- (2 Cor. 4:17) For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
- (Matt. 5:11-12) Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven......
- (Luke 13:14) But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.
