What is our issue?

One problem we see is wrong expectations.

Mark 6:1-6

So how do we fix this issue? We need to be reminded that God

will provide what we need but not always what we want.

Isaiah 55:8-9

But what is the problem? What is still causing issues?

Skeptics, questions, etc.?

Belief.

What we see today is that our culture’s beliefs are

increasingly skeptical of God.

And the central theme we see in the Polar Express is

belief. The main character in the Polar Express didn’t come to

believe in Christmas by seeing Santa, but it was because he

stepped out on faith.

The Purpose of John’s Gospel

30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his

disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are

written that you may believe[b] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of

God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Stop doubting and simply believe!

That doesn’t mean you won’t have legitimate questions, but that’s

what community is for. To get around other believers and have these

questions discussed. There’s so much to know about God, and it’s

impossible to know everything, but should never be the reason to

run away from God.
