God With Us // Part 2

(John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” 

1. We have the Promise of Restoration.
1. (Isaiah 35:10 ESV) And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
2. We have the Promise of Peace.
1. (Isaiah 9:6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
2. (John 14:27) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
3. We have the Promise of His Return.
1. (John 14:3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am
2. (Acts 1:11) This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven
