It's My Choice

(Philippians 4:6-7) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:6-7 TPT) Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about
a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your
faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every
detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human
understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.

Make a choice!

  • To trust more in His character over my current circumstances
    • (Numbers 23:19 ESV) God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
  • To trust more in His promises over my present situation.
    • (John 16:33) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
  • To trust in His voice over any other voice.
    • (Proverbs 3:5-6 TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.

The Prescription

  • Pray more.
    • (Philippians 4:6-7 TPT) Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.
    • (Philippians 4:6-7 AMP) Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

  • Praise more.
    • (Philippians 4:4) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
    • (Galatians 5:22-23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
