Transformational Thanksgiving | Part 1

(Romans 12:1-2) 1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the

mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy

and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not

be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal

of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of

God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

1. God does not conform to our notions of how he should act.

(Matt. 5:45)

2. We cannot put God into a transactional box.

3. Transformation is not switching from a to-do list of the flesh to

a to-do list of the law.

4. The transformed life is about giving our lives and bodies as a

living and holy sacrifice. (Rom. 12:1)

5. We become transformed by renewing our minds. (Rom. 12:2)

6. When our minds are renewed it frees us from life-ruining ,

worship-destroying sinful desires.

7. The Holy Spirit renews our mind.(Titus 3:5)

8. The Spirit also transforms us and enables us to see the glory of

the Lord. (2 Cor. 3:18)
